Two-wheeled half-barrel carriage, France, late 19th century. Varnished natural wood body adjoining mudguards. It opens through a door from the rear panel allowing access, thanks to a footboard pallet, to two small longitudinal seats. At the front, two side steps to reach the transverse bench seat upholstered in fabric. Slightly curved wooden dung guard surmounted by a guide gallery, with two side mounting handles and on which a pair of lanterns is fixed. Three straight springs, bent axle connecting the two wooden wheels with tires. Two wheel caps bearing the manufacturer's name \"POIGNET A MILLY\" The whole thing is topped with a retractable hood probably made of moleskin and pierced with a bezel. With two curved stretchers. Car for a donkey, pony or small horse. Tears and traces of humidity on the hood. Accident and missing one of the mudguards. According to the former owner it would have been used by a doctor. Dimensions: L400 x H240 x D200 cm.
